Safety Statement
Tralee Gymnastics Club recognises its obligation under health and safety acts
and regulations to
ensure the safety, health and well-being of gymnasts, coaches, and staff
when they are involved in the club business.
provide a safe and healthy training environment for children and coaches.
control and minimise the risks inherent in running a gymnastics club
have appropriate training in place in the event of an accident, fire, etc.
ensure coaches are adequately trained in the skills they are coaching.
have periodic reviews of safety guidelines.
ensure that all coaches adhere to safety policies at all times.
ensure that coaches and staff will be trained in first aid.
ensure that a fully stocked first aid kit is located in reception.
have contact numbers of emergency services displayed in reception
to ensure an accident form is filled out in the event of any incident or
accident.

ensure that parents know to notify the club regarding any injuries a child
has sustained outside the club.
Ensure that an equipment inspection is carried out on a regular basis
ensure that all equipment is checked before use by each coach and all
coaches are trained to handle, erect, dismantle and store equipment
The club recognises its responsibility to provide and maintain a safe facility.
All staff and gymnasts are insured under Tralee Gymnastics’ personal accident
policy.
